Miss Mindy

Miss Mindy is a beyond talented artist who has an art style that is undeniably her own. Her beautiful Disney pieces are produced by Enesco and distributed to many different retailers around the world. The best way to describe her art style would be “Cartoon Folk Art”. Each one of her pieces is identifiable by their large eyes, exaggerated proportions and a retro feel that is signature to her style.  

I am particularly in love with her Disney pieces, and they simply cannot be compared to anything else in my collection as they are all so truly unique. While admiring her pieces, you can spot that she has a passion for vintage, old cartoons and a touch of glam. The small delicate details she puts into her work makes it easy to admire for extended periods of time and I feel as if I spot something new on the piece each time I remove them from my cabinets.  

While I have both her vinyl and stone resin pieces, I have to say that my favourite pieces from her are the large stone resin Disney Princesses and Villains that light up. These figurines measure roughly 9.5” each and are a substantial piece to add to your Disney displays. These particular pieces were made for Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella and Rapunzel. Each character is beautifully captured and features a scene from the movie inside of their dress. While I only have Maleficent and The Evil Queen from her Disney Villains set of her collection, I hope to be able to find Ursula and the Queen of Hearts one day. 

I really hope that she continues with her beautiful Disney creations as I would love to add a light-up Jasmine and Tiana to my collection one day. Her new Nightmare Before Christmas pieces are currently available for pre-order and would be an amazing addition to any NBC lover’s collection. 

Miss Mindy does not only design Disney collectibles, she also has released some DC characters and some of her own original designs. All of which are visually stunning, and the price points are very reasonable. While all of her pieces are whimsical in their own way, she has still managed to portray each character as classically as possible.
