Disney Showcase Couture de Force Collection
Enesco has many different lines of Disney collectibles that they manufacture and sell to the public. The Couture de Force collection is a much more detailed figurine that many of the other ones that they produce. It is a line that showcases classic Disney characters with a fashionable twist. Each one of their figurines has a highly detailed outfit that has been kicked up a notch from the original. From elevated fashion elements to crystal details, no detail has been spared while designing these pieces. Some of the pieces from this line also contain multi-media accents such as feathers and other fabrics.
It seems that Enesco does release a few new figurines for this line every year with a different take on a character each time that they release it. My favourite piece I have in my collection from the Couture de Force series is Beast in his amazingly detailed suit. I did purchase Belle to go with Beast and I have received a couple of other ones as gifts, and I absolutely love them all. If you are a collector who prefers more realistic looking pieces with a lot of detail, these are a great option for you. I do have to say that not ALL of these pieces are my cup of tea and that I feel like they did not do as good of a job as they could have with some of their faces. I will not go into which ones I do not care for, but please look at close up images of their faces before deciding to purchase.
I was surprised by the details, quality and the substantial size of this piece. I will say that they are much more delicate than some of the other pieces in my collection and I would not recommend these for any young children. While they are cast from stone resin, some of the pieces have very small details that would be easily broken if they are not handled with care. I have done some research on this collection and from what I have read these pieces do eventually become retired and are no longer produced. Once this happens, the price of each piece go up much higher than a normal retail price on the secondary market.
