“Homeward Bound” Disney Traditions Review
This Disney Tradition easily has a place in my top 5 favourite Disney Traditions that I currently have in my collection. This figurine captures each of the seven characters beautifully and is true to Jim Shore’s signature Folk Art style. This large piece features the Seven Dwarfs marching on a log and features many of the classic Jim Shore patterns. While admiring this piece it is hard not to hear the song “heigh-ho” from the movie as it depicts the iconic scene of them on their way back to the cottage after working in the mines for the day.
Like every other Jim Shore piece, this piece is sculpted from handcrafted stone resin and is painted by hand. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this piece as it was quite a bit larger in person than I had expected it to be. It measures 8.5” tall by approximately 14” long and is quite the statement piece if you are a Snow White collector. The colours that they have chosen to paint this piece work very well together and help capture the outdoor feeling where this scene took place.
On Amazon this product currently has a 4.9/5 star rating with a total of 479 reviews at the time that I am writing this. From what I have read, it seems like any of the negative reviews were about it is arriving damaged in the mail, not about the piece not living up to any collector’s expectations.
Having this piece in my collection, I can say that it is absolutely worth every penny and will make a great addition to your Disney Traditions collection.
